Demons and Ghost Hunting

Since starting Paranormal Investigation Tendencies the only true fear I have while doing a ghost hunt is not the ghost themselves, but what dark, malevolent spirits could be lurking out there with the ghosts. I am of course talking about demons. I believe demons are real and I believe they will do their best to do harm to me or others around me.

From what I have learned about demons is that they can total wreak havoc on people's lives. They can possess you and I feel this is probably the worst case scenario. Here is an interesting  list I compiled of some symptoms of demon possession and what to look for:

1. Changes in personality. For example if the person was social and suddenly becomes quiet and to themselves.
2. Someone who enjoyed an active lifestyle has become lazy and unmotivated
3. Someone who was a church goer or a religious person that without reason begin to hate the thought of it.
4. Changes in the style of clothes a person wears.
5. Signs of self-mutilation
6. Changes in personal hygiene.
7. Someone that has suddenly become abusive.
8. Look out for what appears to be a different personality or multiple personalities.
9. They begin to black out and not remember things.
10. Changes in eating habits. For example eating foods they used to hate and hating the foods they would normally enjoy.
11. Experiencing intense nightmares/night terrors.
12. Destruction of religious objects: portraits of Jesus, crucifixes, bibles, ect.
13. The person speaks a language they did not previously know.
14. The person becomes so stiff they cannot be moved at all, even by multiple people.
15. The person  possesses inhuman strength.
16. The person  may be able to tell you what you are thinking.
17.  Multiple voices can be heard coming from the person at the same time.
18.  Symbols and writing that may appear on their body in the form of welts and scratches. Look for these in places that they couldn't possibly reach
19. Glass may break without a reason or cause.
20. Scary looking creatures may appear.
21. Animals are seemingly frightened around the person, especially when they begin to exhibit personality changes.
22. Changes in eye color. Eyes maybe become totally black.

Keep in mind some of these changes can also be psychiatric or psychological changes. These signs can obviously be and most likely are signs of mental illness.

 Demons are nothing to laugh at, as I believe some haunts can be demons and not ghosts.  Demons are master manipulators and can pretend to be spirits they are not. They can trick you into thinking that the spirit of a little girl is at your house, but really it is a demon in disguise.

 I believe demons and ghosts can get attached and follow you home, so if I feel like that may happen, before I leave a location I will say, "In the name of Jesus Christ I order you to stay away from me." or something along those lines. I believe in the power the of Jesus and his name will repel wandering spirits or demons from me or you. 

If you decide to take up ghost hunting just be aware that not all spirits are good and not all ghosts are actually ghosts. Demons may come around, but be ready for them. Jesus is the most powerful weapon and demons stand no chance.

New Hope Cemetery History

     New Hope Cemetery is  located in a secluded part of Madera, California on Ave 11. From what we have read the New Hope has been semi-abandoned since the 1980's and that's around the same time the church was burnt to the ground. This church was rumored to have been burnt down by satanic arsonists. Even after the church was burnt down these Satanists were rumored to have performed satanic rituals inside the cemetery. 
  
     This has seemed to cause a lot of unrest in the cemetery, as there are many reports of unusual activity in the cemetery. Voices have been reported and the laughing of children as well. P.I.T. (Paranormal Investigation Tendencies) has spent quite a bit of time in this location and has caught many EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). We have caught unexplained screams, noises, and voices that lead us to believe that New Hope Cemetery is a legitimate haunt. 

       P.I.T. is going to focus on this location to find out decisively  if this location is haunted or not. Which means not just EVPs, but video and pictures, too. We may have a way into the cemetery at night, so we are very excited about that. Well, here is hoping we find some more awesome evidence and proof that there is life after this one!

Poltergeists .... What Are They?

    What is a poltergeist? Poltergeists can simply be described as physically active spirits. These spirits are able to move objects, make noises (human voices, yelling, and knocking), and even physically attack living beings.

     Poltergeist activity can start suddenly and without warning and end the same way. A poltergeist can last for just a few minutes and up to many years. This is not something to take lightly, as poltergeists are commonplace and they can be extremely dangerous situations.

     When there is an activity that can be defined as poltergeist activity it is usually a malicious entity that is there to cause harm. The frightening thing about poltergeists is that it is a spirit with intelligence and it can target specific people or objects. It always has the ability to plan attacks or pranks.

     If you feel that you may be experiencing poltergeist activity I suggest you say something like this, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to leave this house!". If this doesn't work, which I believe it should, you may want to contact a church and have your house blessed and cleansed.

In the video we Jeff asks the original owner of Wolfe Manor some questions and get an awesome "Hey." in response. At New Hope Cemetery we put down our voice recorders and walked away, we captured some very creepy and unexplained screams. You will have to listen carefully, as we didn't enhance the audio. The unexplained screams at New Hope Cemetery are going to keep us coming back to investigate. 
     
     On a side note we have had some additional activity at Wolfe Manor. We have been touched.  Our investigators Alex and Jeff both experienced this. Alex and Jeff both got touched on the arm at the same time. Alex had his shirt tugged later on that same night.   Here is the link to an EVP we caught in Raymond, Ca. We caught this in a field where a young man by the name of Johnathan Pennucci died when he flipped his truck after he lost control of it. This happened September 10th, 2001.  Investigators Alex and Jeff we out at the field where Johnathan died and Jeff was asking questions about the accident, when we get a spirit voice. Borden Chinese Cemetery Noise Contamination

  P.I.T. has investigated Borden Chinese Cemetery in Madera, Ca twice and each time we get something we think could be electronic voice phenomenon, but can't be certain. This is why we haven't published any of our recordings. The investigators at P.I.T. want verify the findings first and so far we cannot totally distinguish between the sounds at the location and the E.V.P.s we think we have caught.

  The unfortunate thing about the Borden Chinese Cemetery is that it is off to the side of Ave. 12 in Madera, Ca, which is a pretty busy spot and many cars contaminate the recordings. We haven't been out there past 2 am yet. We are hoping that it will be calmer later into the night (early morning) and that we can then catch a voice that we can identify as an E.V.P..

  We believe we have caught something, but until we can record in calmer, quieter conditions it means nothing. When we catch an E.V.P. we will publish it. P.I.T. will continue to investigate this location until we get the conditions that we want.

  We will continue to visit the spots we are currently investigating like Wolfe Manor and New Hope Cemetery  to let the intelligent spirits get to know us and our intentions to let them be heard. We plan to take our investigations to Raymond, Ca to investigate some cemeteries and buildings in the area very soon.

EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomenon

What Are EVPs, Anyway?

Paranormal researchers such as P.I.T. capture electronic Voice Phenomena or EVPs by using digital or analog audio recorders. Electronic Voice Phenomena are recorded noises,  intelligible words  that sound like human speech, or even animals. EVPs can be captured on recording devices and heard through the white noise, they are not  intentional voice recordings.

When a possible EVP is discovered after a recording session paranormal researchers  analyze their recorded data by listening to their recordings making sure that it wasn't just contaminated recording by another living human, or other outside noises. Most reputable  paranormal investigators use audio software to find where the possible EVP happened and to amplify  enhance it to make it as clear as possible to debunk it as outside noise contamination or label it an authentic EVP.

Possible origins of EVPs:

• Radio interference –  EVP  skeptics say the voices heard are just voices transmitting from radios, TVs, and even cell phones that are interfering with the analog or digital recorders.

• Spirits – The most popular possibility for  E.V.P. is that the spirit of a dead person is trying to communicate with us. This possibility is strengthened by the fact that EVPs are very commonly picked up at locations where violent  and sudden deaths have occurred.  Another aspect that is popular is the idea that some spirits may have not moved on after they have passed on and maybe trying to relay messages. Another one is that the spirit may not even realize that they are dead and are stuck as a result.

• Auditory Pareidolia – Our  mind is looks for patterns in random things that happen and puts it together in a way that makes sense.  The voices or sounds heard from an EVP session are possibly nothing more than our minds trying to make sense of random sounds.

        Intelligent and Residual Spirits and E.V.P.s

   An intelligent spirit E.V.P. can be defined as a spirit that is interacting with the investigator. Say for instance you ask the spirit  for it's name and a few seconds afterwards you get "Craig" as your answer. That means there is a high possibility that the entity encountered is in fact an intelligent one. This entity may be  capable of seeing you, hearing, understanding, and answering your questions. Intelligent Spirit Electronic Voice Phenomenon is what P.I.T. and most other paranormal groups strive to record. This type of haunting is also the most exciting.

An Residual spirit E.V.P. can be defined as an event caught in time. The trapped energy of an event that happened long ago. It can be explained like a song stuck on repeat. There is no intelligent response to questions asked, just random voices or noises. Say for instance you were doing an investigation in an old prison and you just finished an E.V.P. session. You go back to analyze your recorded data and find that you hear random yells and the sound of prison doors slamming or opening, but no real answers to questions asked. This could possibly mean there is a residual haunting and not an intelligent one.

Our Initial Investigations

    Hello, we are probably one of many fresh  paranormal groups. We call ourselves P.I.T. (Paranormal Investigation Tendencies). We have only been doing this for about a month now. At first we were just messing around, but none of us thought we would have captured the evidence we have so far.   I believe the evidence we collected has fueled our curiosity even more. This strengthened curiosity is what is driving us to do more investigations.

    We will be posting up our evidence as we go. This is a learning process for all of us and we are using our common sense, scientific method and just our general skepticism to help keep our findings honest and true. We hope you enjoy our findings and hopefully point out things we might have missed.
